CEE Animation Forum (6th-9th May 2019), a pitching competition which gathers animation projects across Europe, announced its opening for entries. You can sign up your animated project in development on the online form by 13th January 2019.

About CEE Animation
After a six-year existence, Visegrad Animation Forum (VAF), a platform for the animation industry in Central and Eastern Europe that welcomed over 150 participants from all over Europe in Třeboň, Czech Republic every year, is re-branding itself into “CEE Animation”. CEE Animation consists of three main activities: CEE Animation Forum, CEE Animation Workshop and CEE Animation Talents.
CEE Animation Forum
A pitching competition of animation projects previously known as “VAF Třeboň” will be back in Třeboň from 6th to 9th May 2019 as “CEE Animation Forum”, organised in collaboration with the Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films (7th-12th May 2019). The three-day programme has not only the main pitching competition for the three categories but also a number of networking opportunities. Selected authors will have a unique opportunity to consult projects with invited experts to get valuable feedback and advice on how to improve their presentation, script, or production strategy. Competition participants can secure a chance to find a co-production partner by presenting their projects in front of more than one hundred professionals, which includes producers, TV programmers, festival directors, distributors, investors and representatives of national film funds.

CEE Animation Workshop
CEE Animation offers a year-long training programme for film professionals called “CEE Animation Workshop”, which is designed to develop projects and create production networks. The goal is to provide participants with training in the field of development, from working on the script to artistic and production counselling. The programme is structured in 3 workshops. Workshop 1 was held from 30th November to 6th December 2018 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Workshop 2 will be run from 20th to 26th March 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. Workshop 3 will be organized from 3rd to 9th May 2019 in Třeboň, Czech Republic.

CEE Animation Talents

This project was formerly called “VAF New Talents” and it promotes worldwide selected talented young animation filmmakers from the Central and Eastern Europe region, every year. CEE Animation Talents selects great talent whose work promises successful future careers and promote their exceptional short films at the leading animation markets.
