1. Introduction
From 18th to 21st September 2023, the 34th Cartoon Forum will be held in Toulouse, France. Cartoon Forum has been the core event for the growth of co-production and distribution of European animation for television and new media platforms since 1990. It has helped finance 956 animation projects since its inception.
Projects Selected from 19 Countries
76 projects from 16 European countries (where the main producers are located) have been selected for pitching at Cartoon Forum 2023 from 120 submissions. France leads the selection with 32 projects, followed by Ireland with 7 projects, Belgium and Germany with 6 projects each, and Spain with 5 projects. Furthermore, 5 projects pitched at the Cartoon Springboard, an event for young talents, were selected for Cartoon Forum 2023: 9 Million Colors (Czech Republic), Apocalypse Mojito (France), Exit Tales (Belgium), Happily Never After (Czech Republic, Germany), and Toko Loko (Netherlands).
