1. Presenting 85 new TV animation projects

From 16th to 19th September 2019, the 30th Cartoon Forum will be held in Toulouse, France. Cartoon Forum has been the core event for the growth of co-production and distribution of European animation for television and new media platforms since 1990. It has helped finance 775 TV animation projects, funding over 2.7 billion EUR since its inception. The organizer, CARTOON – European Association of Animation Film, announced that about 1000 sector professionals will have the opportunity to discover more than 500 hours of animated series content with original stories this year.

Projects selected from 24 countries

CARTOON also announced that 85 projects from 24 countries have been selected for pitching at Cartoon Forum 2019. France leads the selection with 25 projects, followed by Belgium with 9 projects, Germany with 7 projects and Ireland with 6 projects. Two Canadian projects and two Korean projects will be presented as an extension of CARTOON‘s collaboration with Canada and South Korea during Cartoon Connection events. Furthermore, three projects pitched at the Cartoon Springboard 2018, an event for young talents, were selected for the Cartoon Forum 2019: Doppelgänger, Here Comes the Future! by Amopix (France), Mousse and Bichon by Vivement Lundi ! (France) and The Homonobos, The Missed Link by Des Singes Animés (France).
